We haven't explored this area much, but here's a good road, part of a small but very scenic circuit which includes three spectacular villages, and reaches nearly 1000m in places. Its easily accessible from the coast, from Ventimiglia or San Remo, for example.
Perinaldo is brilliantly situated, and the road down (not pictured) from this village towards Apricala is really something special.
This tunnel marks an un-named col on the circuit, between Perinaldo and San Romolo, at about 950m.
