There are three parallel routes running along the Riviera, from Nice to Menton and through Monaco, then on into Italy.

This one is the coast road, which is scenic and attractive and nowhere near as busy as you might expect by looking at the map. Just follow the N98 signs and avoid the N7 signs.

The only slight problem with this coast road is getting through Monaco itself, where the roads are busy for a while and the signposting is rather poor, but its soon over and the town is spectacular of course, when viewed from a distance!
