Not a high pass, but this little road has everything - fascinating gorges, huge views, strange crags, a couple of small villages, snowy peaks, meadows, and near the summit the familiar slag-heap style of southern Alps scenery, then a steep climb through woodland.
All on the north/west approach - the southern side is quite dull.
