An easy pass, an important link in this area but not too busy despite being a broad ribbon of straight road to the south.

Higher sections are very pleaant meadow-like scenery surrounded by a jagged skyline, particlarly to the north-west which is the edge of the Vercors region.
There is a bar at the summit.
After this (going northwards) the road divides offering two alternative routes down, the right-hand one first rises a little to cross the Col de Rioupes.
