A minor pass, but full of character, close to Lake Maggiore
The summit is marked by a couple of really tight narrow bends in the road, and the southern side gives fine views over a deeply forested valley. Don't use the tunnel, there is a cliff road for cyclists instead. Note the longitudinal cracks in the road which are typical of Italian passes.
